Read the Terms & Conditions about renting a car from Excel Car Hire in Corfu

This site is operated by Excel Car Rental which is the trading name of “K & K SARAKINOS KAI SIA OE.” having a registered office in Kassiopi Village Corfu 490 81 – Greece. Company Registration no: 34395533000 – TAX ID: EL999776379. It is fully licensed by the Greek Tourist Authority (Official Licence no: 0829E81000108201)

Our rates include:

  • Self-collect and drop off system at the airport, to avoid long queues and paperwork.

Our Insurance Policy:

  • CDW – collision damage waiver with an excess of €1,200
  • FTW – fire and theft protection in case of accidental fire or theft of vehicle
  • TP – third party liability coverage. All vehicles are insured against liability to third parties for death or injury or property damage.
  • PAI – personal accident insurance, covering both the passengers and the driver.

Excess:

The excess amount will be held from your card on the day of arrival. Once you drop off the car on departure day, the car will be checked over for any damages and the correct fuel levels. If everything is in check, then we will release the amount back to you. If there are any damages or if the fuel levels are not the same as the day you collected the car, we will contact you with further details.The excess can be waived at an extra charge of €15 per day.

Requirements:

  • Drivers must be above 25 years of age and not over 75 years.
  • All drivers must hold a valid driving licence for at least 5 years.
  • We accept EU, US, UK and Australian driving licences. If you are holders of any other country’s driving Licence please contact us as an International Driving Permit may be required in order to be able to drive a car in Greece.
  • Minimum Rental: One Day.
  • Deposit: We require a 35% deposit.
  • Remaining Balance: 10 weeks before arrival.

Delivery and Collection:

  • Free delivery and collection to and from Corfu airport and Port. At the airport, we use a self-collect and drop off system in order for you to avoid waiting in long queues and filling out paperwork. All paperwork will be sent to you via email.
  • Free delivery and collection to and from the areas of Kassiopi, St Stefano, Kalami, Nissaki, Kalamaki, Porta, Rou, Acharavi.  All deliveries are from 12:00 hours on wards and the collection is before 08:30.

Free Parking Area:

In Kassiopi we have a free parking area behind our office which you can use free of charge. You will be given the code for the barrier upon arrival.

Restrictions:

Fuel
Clients are responsible for fuel. We DO NOT charge you for a full tank at the airport, port or hotel. Our policy is simple: however you receive it is how you return it. Fuel consumed during the rental period is paid by renter. Refunds are not given.

Traffic Fines
All traffic fines resulting from violation of the Greek traffic law during the rental period are at the renter’s expense. Failure to report or pay for the fines results in details sent to the authorities to send on the fine with penalties.

Availability
Vehicles are according to availability and logistics of the day. Each car group consists of certain models that are similar in size, engine and boot capacity. The vehicle allotted on the day of collection may be any one of the car models stated on our website for each group. A certain model can be requested in our comments section while submitting a reservation. We will do our best to supply the requested car, but unfortunately this cannot be guaranteed.

Ferrying Vehicle Policy
All of our vehicles are not permitted to leave Corfu Island to travel to another part of Greece or to leave the Country. All ferry journeys are not permitted. Legal actions will be taken if this rule is not adhered to.

Credit/Debit Card Transactions
Credit/Debit card transactions are made in Euro. Please note that we are not able to make any transaction on the renter’s card in any other currency. Payments can be made by both Credit and Debit cards. We do not require the card to be in the main driver’s name. Unfortunately we do not accept American Express cards.

Cancellation Policy
If payment has been made in advance and then reservation is  cancelled the follow cancellation charges apply:

  • 28 days before collection or more, loss of deposit 35%.
  • 27 – 7 days before collection 75%.
  • 6 days or less, 100%.
